Over 18 years ago, a customer made a comment that changed our whole approach to protective gloves.
"Just make hand protection simple."
So we did.
Inspired by traffic lights, we invented the tri-colour system to make glove identification simple, visual and effective.
Before the introduction of the colour-coded TraffiSystem®, safety gloves were far from straightforward.
With a wide variety of shapes, sizes, materials and colours available from multiple suppliers, both Health & Safety managers and workers often found themselves navigating a confusing and inconsistent selection. This lack of clarity made it difficult to identify the right level of protection for specific tasks and, as a result, many organisations struggled to enforce a clear and effective glove policy.
SIMPLE
The TraffiSystem® consists of three solitary colours, each representing a colour from the traffic light system that everybody is familiar with:
- Red signifies 'Warning'
- Amber signifies 'Be Aware'
- Green signifies 'Safe to Go'
The simplicity of the system makes the glove selection process easier and faster for workers while further simplifying the implementation of hand protection policies across businesses.

The TraffiSystem® overcomes language barriers in diverse workplaces. Its colour-coded, fully visual approach removes the need for a shared language, making glove selection clear and consistent for everyone.
EFFECTIVE
The TraffiSystem® helps reduce hand injuries and eases the administrative burden on Health & Safety managers. By setting a minimum cut level for each task, managers can quickly check compliance from a distance using glove colour, making it easier to ensure workers are wearing the correct protection for the task being carried out.
