Balfour Beatty VINCI wanted to consolidate their glove range to reduce hand injuries and bring consistency across the whole project. They also wanted a simple glove identification system to ensure the workforce wore the correct gloves for each task.
After thorough glove surveys across several sites, Traffi recommended a rationalised range and carried out trials with workers. Introducing a minimum Cut Level C and the colour coded TraffiSystem brought greater simplicity and consistency to hand protection.

After conducting thorough glove surveys across several sites, Traffi recommended a rationalised range based on the survey observations and its experience with Balfour Beatty since 2011. Traffi then worked closely with the team to carry out glove trials with workers.

Glove trials gave workers the opportunity to try the gloves in real working environments and provide feedback. By introducing a new minimum cut level of C and the colour coded TraffiSystem, BBV saw a marked difference in the simplicity and consistency of their hand protection.
